Snake Boy, 1993

The Snake Boy graphic first appeared in 1993, during the golden age of independent skateboard art. Hand-screened in limited quantities, most examples were skated into oblivion within weeks of purchase.

This particular example surfaced from a private collection in Southern California, still bearing its original shrink wrap. The graphic — a coiled serpent rendered in acid greens and midnight blues — represents the peak of early-nineties board art.

What makes the Snake Boy remarkable is not just its rarity but its place in the timeline. It arrived at the exact moment when skateboard graphics were transitioning from hand-drawn illustration to digital production. This board is one of the last of its kind.
